Two Separate roads under a black sky,
Whichever way I choose, I see my own demise,
Well right here I stand, trying to think things through,
Never knew what a nightmare was until all my dreams came true,
Inkless pens, Broken Strings,
Dried up paint, angel wings,
don't know what it's worth til there's a price,
Well-
Don't you tell me otherwise, don't you tell me otherwise,
whichever way I choose, I see my own demise,
Don't you tell me otherwise, don't you tell me otherwise,
Whichever way I choose, I see my own demise,
So I wandered down the path less ventured by most,
The only object in my way is this holy ghost,
These problems that I kept inside, started eating me alive,
Got the passion, lack the drive,
Another death that I've defied.
Don't you tell me otherwise, don't you tell me otherwise,
whichever way I choose, I see my own demise,
Don't you tell me otherwise, don't you tell me otherwise,
Whichever way I go, I see my own demise,
Well I fell down when I caught you and I searched for some reasons,
Found peace in my seasons,
And left you with nothing new.
Watch your eyes, girl,
now hear your ears,
Don't you try cuz the less it will become clear.
Otherwise...
Two Separate roads under a black sky,
Whichever way I choose, I see my own demise,
So right here I stand, trying to think things through,
Never knew what a nightmare was until all my dreams came true.
I've listened to this album for years and I still don't know what to say about it.
One of the best albums I've ever heard and there are few things that sound so right to me at all much less in their near entirety.
I love this album and I love this band's music. yehoodi
It's the ride... the dynamics of it. Quiet loud. Clean dirty. Fantastic record from top to bottom. Have all 3 versions and great packaging. Can't go wrong with SYC. gt333
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
A slow drip of Tropicália-infused psychedelia from New Orleans rock outfit Blue Basin: balmy one moment, aggressive the next. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 22, 2022
Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
It's not as heavy as you would expect from the melding of these 2 bands. Instead the songs are a complex and beautifully restrained mix of prog and post-rock that should satisfy fans of Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson. A+. jeff1saunders
